Marble Rolo Cake with a Salted Caramel Filling & Thrice Iced in Chocolate Ganache

I was creatively brainstorming one afternoon for a deliciously decadent birthday cake for my husband.  Yes, this is my creation it comes with a warning: not to be consumed by the faint hearted. A true dessert lovers dream which is sweet, rich with a few layers of chocolaty, caramel goodness. This is death by cake.

Ingredients

1 packet of Vanilla cake mix

1 packet of chocolate cake mix ( preferably the same brand)

1 can of Topping Caramel or Dulce de Leche

1 Family block of Rolo chocolate or 4 tubes of Rolo’s

4 single tubes of Rolo’s to decorate the top.

400g  of quality cooking milk chocolate

300 ml of double cream

salt.

  1. Grease two round tins and weigh the 2 mixing bowls that you are going to use. Preheat oven 180 degrees Celsius.
