I have always done the breakfast rut. You know where you eat the same thing every single day for months on end. Here are a few of my ruts…Honey Nut Cheerios for my entire senior year of high school. Peanut butter toast while I was pregnant with my second son, Cassidy. He has a weird love of PB toast. Funny. Half a bagel with strawberry cream cheese and fresh strawberries on top for about 4 months at a time. Then, when strawberries would disappear and winter would sneak in, oatmeal. Oatmeal for months. Plain oatmeal. Nothing in it. It was about fuel not fun…and here I was a culinary school graduate.
Just like doing the same exercise day in and day out can become a bit boring, eating the same thing ever single day may bore you to tears.
